Hot Molten Lava Cake

Evan and I went to PF Changs a couple weeks ago and noticed a dessert on their menu that reminded us of an awesome dessert we had on the cruise we took for our honeymoon. After inquiring about the dessert we found out it was not the same. Yet this event was not fruitful to our taste buds it sparked the desire to find the best Molten Lave Cake in the Phoenix area. So far we have tried 3 separate cakes at 3 separate restaurants.
1) Flemings: a very swanky up scale place with great lighting and ambiance. This cake got a 5 out of 5 in the appearance category but rated low in taste and temperature.
2) Applebees: A less expensive treat that was ready in about 6 minutes has ranked highest on the Norby scale. The temperature was hot and the abundance of lava pushed this dish into first place.
3) Bravi: Locally owned Italian eatery served up a small portioned lava cake that disappointed the Mister, who ranked this dish 3, however the misses graded this one slightly higher for the quick order time and inexpensive cost, yet of the three it is the only one not served with ice cream.

the "Move" has begun

I was putting somethings away in the storage closet and found some small boxes (perfect for packing heavy books). So I decided to make use of the boxes and pack of some of Evan's giant text books. Two boxes later you can barely tell I've packed anything up at all. Just an early reminder that you always have way more stuff than you think you have!
We also faxed in our application this week to live at Catalina Canyon Apartments in Tucson. We will be moving in 5 weeks:( The place looks nice enough. The best part is the friendly office staff (and the cheap rent...the price is over 100$ less per month than we are paying now) and biggest draw back is there is not a washer or dryer in the apartment unit and it is about 100 square feet smaller (YIKES).

Color Me Mine 9-10-10

I convinced Evan to go to "Color Me Mine" so we can decorate a super cute plate. I really wanted to go for our anniversary, but since Evan had finals on our anniversary we were just now getting around to going.

Evan putting the first coat on the heart plate. He is a great painter.

Evan hard at work. We turned our hand prints into a heart, AWWW, I know right!

And of course we have no shame, so we wore our PJS to get a discount on our painting fee. My mom made us these matching PJ bottoms for Christmas last year, they are cowboy teddy bears with cactus, cute right?

The Answer...

Evan had two moles a.k.a his "beauty marks" removed while on his dermatology rotation...one on his chin and one on the bridge of his nose. He also was injected with, Dysport, a newer form of Botox. It took me a long time to even realize he had gotten the injections, since he did it while I was out of town. I just kept thinking "WoW! you look so young". Although I noticed the mole removal right away since he came home with Band-aids on his face!
I made him do all the funny faces so you can see the different motions he can/can't do

Can you spot the differences?

Evan finished up his rural rotation where he worked in a dermatology office, but not without some facial featured altered. Can you spot the differences? Now he is on to a primary care-surgical rotation...Hopefully there won't be a post next month "Can you guess which organ is Evan missing?"

Did you find them yet? Keep looking there is more than 1!

DISNEYLAND

My little brother Noah just got home from serving a mission in the Dominican Republic, so of course what do we do to celebrate...Go to DISNEYLAND. I totally love Disneyland. Unfortunately Evan couldn't come because we went on a Monday and Evan had to be at school, which happened to be at dermatology office. He loved that rotation so much and now is really looking into pursuing that option for residency...only time will tell.
