January

Autumn is quite the reader and often requests to read our nightly scriptures.
More cousin time.  Luckily for us some of the family got sick and stayed later than they originally planned (unfortunately for those sick).

The middle kids all participate in an online preschool program.
Because of the sickness and the family staying later than planned it finally snowed for our AZ cousins.  We went sledding and lasted about 30 minutes, some less than that.

We took the kids bowling...Lark was bored.
 Olive thought it was neat.
January 5 Lark went to Sunbeams for the first time.  I forgot to take her picture before she changed out of her church clothes so we get a picture of Lark in her shark jammies.

Lark had to clean my chair after she drew a very elaborate picture on it.  Luckily for her she was honest and told me she was the one who drew on the chair (I wasn't sure which kid it was since the drawing was so good).
We had Evan's favorite (gun powder chicken)  for dinner with his dad, opened presents and for the first time since we've been together Evan had a cake instead of brownies.

That weekend Evan and I went out to Rodizio Grill in Fort Collins, bought some truffles from our favorite chocolate store and saw a laser light show at the Fort Collins Discovery Museum (it would have been better if we were stoned.)

My aunt and my parents came into town for Autumn's baptism so we took them to the Frontier Old West Museum.  I took Autumn out of school for lunch so she could join the fun (even though she complained the whole time that she was bored.  The other kids didn't want to leave after two hours.)

We also took my dad to our curling club.  He did a great job.

Naked story time after the bath.

Aunt Hannah sent this to Autumn for her baptism and she had a good time coloring it with grandma Pattie.

Autumn got to go shopping with aunt Deb and picked out a journal and an art set.
Maverick and Autumn are big board game/card game players.  Lately Uno and Clue JR. have been the favorites.

We took advantage of an unusually warm day and went to the children's village.

Lark and her best friend Dixie at their "play school" group.  They learned about the letter "O" and octopuses.  While they were decorating their octopuses with marshmallow suckers the teachers husband tossed a marshmallow at Lark.  Lark then picked up a bunch of marshmallows started throwing them and yelled, "FOOD FIGHT!" Luckily the teacher thought it was funny
Olive wants to be one of the big kids so badly.  Lark is an amazing big sister.  These two get along really well.

Evan will let the kids stay up late if they brush his hair and the kids use this to steal extra minutes before bedtime.
Lark LOVES her kinetic sand she got for Christmas.  One day I caught her making butt prints in the sand (with her undies down).
Lark loves to party and hates going to bed.  I've tried a verity of things to get her calm before bed.  They don't usually work and lately I've been resorting to separating her from her siblings and putting her in the pack n play in the guest room.
Reading bed time stories with grandpa one night after he came over for dinner.
Olive loves to play outside, but she usually doesn't last long.
Autumn drew Hermione and Crookshanks in her journal aunt Deb gave her.

Autumn's Baptisim

I am usually really good at remembering to get lots of pictures.  I did not do very well this day.  Autumn was baptized into our church January 18th.  Her dad baptized and confirmed her a member of the church.  Her Grandpa Brian, and our good friend Nate and Brother West also helped with the confirmation.  Grandpa Brian gave a talk about baptism and the covenants she'd be making and Aunt Meagan spoke about the blessing of the Holy Ghost.  After the baptisim we feed the family and out of town guests Chick-fil-a with fruit and veggies.  All the little kids filled up on chips before the nuggets arrived.

Autumn thought the sleeves on this dress were too tight.  I told her to tough it out and that she had to wear it since my sisters, niece and I were all baptized in the same dress.

Uncle Cameron left before I could get a picture of the Norby family.

Our dear Friends the Tinnels drove all the way from Houston to see see Autumn's baptism.  It was a short visit, but am so grateful they came to support Autumn.
