September

Olive no longer has "chicken fuzz". It can be pulled into a pony tail. Although she prefers not to have her hair done of course.

Maverick playing "the longest cow" game he and Violet got from aunt Deb for their birthday. Notice the nice green lawn. Evan has done a great job of taking care of the yard this summer.

First Fall bucket list item: Watch a BYU football game.

Olive is sneaky. She climbs everywhere.

Lark has a hard time calming down at night. I told her to take a deep breath before we said family prayer and she got in this pose.

Violet made her bed.

We had a short cold front come through. None of our friends wanted to join us at the park. But the girls still had fun and Lark convinced me to bring them cocoa. Which I would have said "No" to if all 5 kids were there, but since there was only 2 I obliged.

After much discussion we allowed Autumn to play rec soccer this year. He coaches Colleen and Andy are great. Autumn is a great ball handler, an excellent defender, has lots of stamina and loves the sport.

The kids love to play big with dad.

I gave away Autumn's expired car seat which has been in continuous use for 7 years.

See, Olive is very clever and determined.

We've had excellent fall weather. The kids utilize the backyard after school.

Olive wanted to be apart of the team. Autumn is a great big sister. The weather was great almost every week. We didn't have any practices or games cancelled for snow. Just a couple practices cancelled for unhealthy air quality due to near by fires in the area.

Olive insists on bringing a backpack in the car each morning to drop the kids off at school.

Violet struggles with the long school days. She enjoys a nice bubble bath after school.

Lark in time our for being squirrely at dinner. Apparently sitting still is very difficult for her.

Violet and Maverick's 6th Birthday

School started a week later than it usually does so Maverick and Violet celebrated school on the 5th day of school. Violet didn't want to go to school since it was her birthday, but they both went in new birthday outfits (even though they hadn't worn all of their new school clothes yet.)

We decorated with "Lego" and "L.O.L" decorations.

Lark and Olive matching licking the cake bowl.

Because of Covid we can't bring treats in for the class. So I bought balloons to pick them up from school in. Also someone who works at the school explained to the kindergartners they have to use the urinals. Maverick is too short and has peed on his shirt more than once, including his new birthday outfit.

I think this is one of my favorite cakes. Its a giant brown LEGO!

I made 6 cupcakes to go with my bunt cake for Violet. Olive snatched a cupcake off the counter without me noticing. So I put the rest of the cupcakes in a Tupperware. Olive found them again and snatch a second one and ate it even though they still weren't frosted!

Autumn has a very hard time on other people's birthdays, especially when it is two other people's birthday.

It took several discussions to decide what to have for dinner for their birthday, but they finally settled on Cheese Pizza for Violet and Coco Crispies for Maverick.
