Cutting through March

March 1st Evan became the interim Program Director at the residency program where he was already a faculty member (It is a huge deal-they had to get special permission for him to be in this position since he is suppose to have 6 years post-residency experience and he only had 20 months)
I tried to make him a celebratory candy bouquet...let's just say it tasted better than it looks ;)
Violet's celebratory dinner on University of Wyoming plates!
This is what it looks like when I tell Autumn to get ready to go in the car...she NEEDED all that stuff for the 90 minute car ride.
Denver Children's museum.

Maverick waiting for his painting to dry

playing at a local elementary school...the play equipment reminds me of a park by my grandma's house.
Birthday party for some friends in the ward
I went to do Violet's hair one morning and noticed she was missing half of it!

and so was Maverick.  With a little investigation I discovered it was Autumn who did it.

After watching an American Ninja Warrior marathon Evan has changed up his work out routine.  We went over to the high school one evening to check out his "grip strength"
When we get board and the kids are making a mess of the house I let them take turns driving the car in and out of the drive-way.
Then it was my turn for a hair cut....

Autumn opened a shoe shop in her closet...it actually kept things very clean around the house for a week or so since Autumn was very conscientious of putting everyone's shoes away in her shop.
Playing at the lake on warm but windy day
This is how Violet sleeps...not with a million blankets or stuffed animals...just half dozen pacifiers (half of which is doesn't like because they have gotten old and she doesn't like them.)

Lark 11 months

Lark hanging out with her peeps
Lark eating.  Her favorite foods are cheese and meat.  She doesn't particularly care for any fruits or carbs.
Movin' around at the Denver Children's Museum
Putting things in her mouth per usual...
Just when I thought we were out of this stage...Lark figures out how to unroll the toilet paper roll.  But when I see this I just think, "well at least their is only one of her"
Hanging out in the mother's lounge at Church
At it again.
Lark truly enjoys eating papet...Toilet paper, paper towels, scratch paper, facial tissue you name it.

Lark is often on her knees like the picture above.  She loves to dance and gets on her knees and flaps about.  She pulls herself up on everything and enjoys throwing the dishes out of the kids' dishes drawer.  She has lost most of her leg rolls since she started crawling.  She wears 18 month clothes and has 7 teeth (four top three bottom)  3/3: crawls up the stairs!

The big 3-0

Eons ago in my early twenties before I had any children I read a random blog post about a lady who did 30 random acts of kindness for her 30th birthday.  Since then I had a goal to do the same thing...but four kids later getting the kids in and out of the car all day sounded more like a nightmare than a birthday.  SO I invited some friends over and with their generous contributions and time we put together 30 activity bags for children at the Phoenix Children's hospital.
Pre-birthday set up
We used this felt as erasers for dry erase boards...That top fabric was left overs from a pair of PJ pants I made my nephew who was actually a patient for over a month at PHX Children's hospital.

Sorting Lego
Lark being contained from the madness
My friend's Lyndzee and Holly laminated for over two hours!
We also had a jeans station were old pairs of jeans will be turned into shoes for kids in Uganda, which is part of the Sole Hope project.

That evening we went over to Evan's parent's place for a party.  Evan was the birthday game show host.

Helping dad (Violet LOVES PJs she gets in her PJs as soon as we get home from playing with friends in the afternoons.)
Evan planned a "night on the town" for the two of us so all the gifts were themed culminating with a night on the town in Chicago to see the play Hamiltion!
A Norby favorite game

"One more time"

Hmmm...growing a child out of my mid section?
Evan bought the decorations and decorated himself!
