ONE

My babies turned one!  Violet is walking about.  Maverick is starting to use walking more often.  They still both have 6 teeth and wear size 3 diapers.  They sleep well at night, but Violet is starting to give up the whole two nap thing.  Unfortunately for her Maverick is not ready and I try to get her to nap twice a day despite her protests.  Some days I win, some days she wins.  They love to pull things out of cupboards and drawers.  They are surviving their older sister.  Both of the kids cry more than Autumn ever did, but Autumn didn't have a jealous older sister.

Maverick in his birth place.

We had a big bash in honor of the twins turning one.  It was an "Evan and Amber survived the first year"  party.  And of course since we are big Survivor fans, that was the theme.
Here is my brother-in-law trying to find the hidden immunity idol.
Our "Buffs" and instructions for the day.  (My non-survivor watching brother, wrote "Bluffs" on the box, whoops)
The food table...worms, fish, and grasshoppers!
The fancy cake my mother-in-law coordinated with the help of Evan's sisters.
Our kiddos!!
It is always windy in Cheyenne. No exception this day

Preston did eventually find the hidden immunity idol.
Best dressed goes to David and Linda!  Way to stay with the theme...Although Meagan's buff bra was a close second ;)

More cake.  You can tell a true Survivor fan decorated the cake.  You can even see the rice and water buckets.
Team challenge included an obstacle course..

Digging for puzzle pieces in the sand...
Tossing puzzle pieces through a hula hoop...
 putting the puzzle together....

and finally solving the riddle.

Food eating contest.  This included; Swedish Fish, "dirt" aka pudding and Oreos, and ants on a log.  The best part was when a friend's husband swallowed a Swedish Fish whole.  The final round was eating sour cream and onion flavored crickets (real ones).
Then "Jeff Probst Says" standing on planks of wood.

Then the kiddos got to open a few presents from mom and dad.

Newlywed aunt Hannah "bought" the kids a set of mixing bowls.
Maverick got a set of cars.
Aunt Meagan bought them twinner Superman shirts.
We got Violet a doll.  Autumn bought the kids tooth brushes (which were a huge hit) and water bottles.
Scones at Grandma and Grandpa's place before the family left town.

End of Summer

The end of Summer means playing with suit cases that need to go back to storage.
It also means picking Grandma's tomatoes for her while she's still on vacation.

Summer means eating your sister's leftovers in your diaper.
It also means friends driving through your state.  Autumn made a quick friendship with Jetta.

End of Summer also means Autumn's first day of Joy School.  She loves it.  Unless it is at our house then she doesn't want to listen to the teacher (me) she just wants to do what she wants to do.

More friends stopping by our place.  I took her to Chick-Fil-A for her visit and even drove her on the busiest street in all of Wyoming.  It was thrilling.
