Spring Break

When I found out my sister's kids had the same spring break as Autumn I knew I wanted to make the trek to the East Coast (especially since Lark would still fly for free).

The kids bright and early at the airport in their jammies.  Since we had one of the first flights of the morning the airport wasn't crowded yet and all the lines were short. We borrowed a friend's utility wagon and piled all the car seats in there to check them.  This was probably the easiest airport experience we've had with kids.

The kids made themselves at home as soon as we got there.
We had an egg hunt on Saturday morning.

Violet and Lark "twinning".  Violet looks like she has a black eye because she did her own makeup.

We also decorated eggs outside.

Autumn and Alice did a little creative face painting.

Easter morning

Acting out the Easter/resurrection story.  Violet was an angel, Autumn was one of the Marys and Maverick I don't remember maybe a soldier?

Maverick and Henry at the park.  These two are thick as thieves.

We went to Chuck E. Cheese's for the first time and it was a hit.

I love when these two act like twins

One of my favorite things about visiting my sister...Lazy 5 Ranch.  You get to feed exotic animals and it is so cool and absolutely terrifying.

Rex requested a picture of all the cousins and so of course everyone listened to Rex and we got a cousin picture

We didn't want to spend a million dollars on ice creams at the ranch so I went to the grocery store and bought 5 cartons of ice cream and cones and still spent less money.
These kids played really well together and also made lots of messes.  Including pouring a box of captain crunch on the floor and then peeing on it since they had locked themselves in the room. They also got lots of splinters in their feet from exploring the vast yard barefoot.
Uncle Greg let the boys hammer and screw nails into some boards.
Autumn and Alice were nowhere to be seen or heard from all week.  They made tickets and choreographed a fashion show for all the girls.

We also went to a jump place that was pretty overwhelming and made us purchase special socks for all the kids even though there was this huge sign that said "No socks"

All in all we had a fun week with family which always makes me wish we lived closer together.

pre Easter

Easter fell on General conference this year so the kids wore their Easter outfits to church the week before.  Evan was of course working or our of town I don't recall now. (He has traveled out of town for a least 3 days each month for the last year. Its exhausting being a single parent) So here is our photo shoot in their new duds.
