Residency Graduation

Evan finished is residency.  Driving to the Little America Hotel where it was held, Evan and I looked at each other and said, "it doesn't feel real".  That day Maverick and Autumn were not feeling well.  Maverick was so pathetically sick he just wanted to be held and would fall asleep if I stayed still for any length of time.  So I called a babysitter last minute for the babies.  Maverick ended up going to bed at 5 PM that night!  Autumn told me in the afternoon she was tired so I let her take a nap.  So when she fell asleep at the graduation I was really surprised.  Evan's parents ended up taking her home for us after the ceremony so she could sleep.
This year the residents voted for a real dinner for the residents and their families.  So we had steak and shrimp.  Autumn and I wondered around the hotel for a good portion of the dinner.  The ceremony went smoothly.  Evan presented the award for faulty member of the year and was in charge of thanking the families.

I made violet get dressed even though she didn't go with us, because I wanted her to wear the same dress Autumn wore to Evan's medical school graduation.

Super DAY

Cheyenne hosts a one day "Super day" each June.  Lots of free activities: horse rides, train rides, bounce houses, vendors, food (not free), fire trucks, race cars, music, etc.  Autumn's favorite is the paddle boats.

Evan did this huge trampoline thing
I love cut out heads....Autumn was not impressed!

3.5

Autumn's half birthday!  Of course she woke up early and got herself dressed!  We made "animal pancakes".  Autumn decorated her crown cake.  I assumed we'd make a pink cake, but when she came with me to the grocery store she picked out blue and white sprinkles (I think she did that since she went to a friend's "Frozen" party).  We had a bunch of friends over to  play in our "water slide"  it was overcast and cold but the kids had fun.  And we made it inside just before the rain/hail storm.  Then FINALLY after almost falling asleep during quite time and mom and dad talking to a financial adviser for well over 90 minutes we had pizza for dinner (Autumn's favorite even though she eats it without toppings or cheese-which drives Evan crazy), let Autumn open up presents and ate more cake.

Rain storm...seriously Wyoming I hate you.

After cake Autumn snuck into her room and shut the door and played with her new toys for over an hour even though it was way past bed time.  Finally she emerged and she said, "Mom, you didn't read me any stories!"  Well darling we were letting you be "sneaky"

"Summer"

Summer still hasn't really begun yet...Yes it has stopped snowing but boy to I miss California and the perfect weather, traffic NO, weather yes.  Our latest happenings.
I try (some days) to work on letters with Autumn.  Maybe my most clever day, Autumn wore a pouch and was a "Kangaroo".  I hide "K" s around the house and she had to find them and put them n her pouch.
The babes "reading"  they like to pull out all the book.
Watching Autumn play outside...and yes that is a cloth diaper on Maverick.  We ran out of our stock pile so I bought cloth.  It is gross and smelly, but I think I finally got a handle on it and it is cheap so we'll stick with it.
Autumn fell asleep like this one night after whining for several minutes about how hungry she was (news flash...if you eat dinner you won't be hungry).  Typically Evan tells her a story then heads to the gym.  Autumn waits a few minutes then comes out and says, "Is dad at the gym"  "Yes"  I say.  They Autumn proceeds to ask for food for about 30 minutes.  I hate bedtime.
Maverick loves playing "peek-a-boo" with the curtains.

Testing out our new water slide

Father's day...Autumn was too busy to be in the picture
Later on in the day we tried again...Autumn still refused to be in the picture.
Evan borrowed his brother's bike to take to work one day...he came home at lunch and had his mommy take him back to work, because he didn't like the bike.  He tried again the next day with his dad's bike that worked better.
