Hair cut

Random pictures of the kids...
Our daily routine now includes Autumn "reading" to the babies after they eat breakfast.
This is what happens when I leave Autumn alone with the babies so I can use the bathroom. (by the way the "handsome little guy" is wearing Violet's headband.
Autumn cries and whines and whines when I brush her hair...So I took her to get it cut.  These are the "before" shots.

The twinners are so cute together.  Violet especially likes Maverick and Maverick just stared to notice her (what a boy).  They often hold hands (intentionally or unintentionally is debatable) and even steal toys from each other.

This is the best "after" picture I could get of Autumn.
 Autumn being a good helper.
Maverick loves to eat and still isn't very patient so he has taught himself how to feed himself so he doesn't have to wait for me ;)
Violet prefers someone to feed her.  However...
This happened the other day.  We were painting Valentine's and Autumn needed help washing her hands, and she's even less patient than Maverick so...Merida had to help feed Violet.

Violet is always trying to sit up...and makes the following creepy face.

 More morning story times
The babes aren't that great at sitting by themselves so they each need a corner to be propped up on

Kiddos

So one day Autumn found this picture of herself (18 months old).

And she asked if we could recreate the image...she is so hip and doesn't even know it.  The whole recreating photos is so "in" right now. When I said ok, she ran into her room to find a tank top and took off her pants, gathered her blankies and even found the same toy car in the background.  She also insisted on a clip for her hair.  When I told her to "smile" she said she wasn't smiling in the other picture so she wasn't going to smile.

Autumn isn't very patient (she gets that from me).  She asked for some milk and I told her to wait until I put the kids down for a nap.  I came back to the kitchen and she had already poured herself some from the almost full gallon... and only spilled a little.
Autumn making Violet laugh and Maverick trying to see Autumn.
Feeding Maverick rice cereal in an attempt to get him to sleep longer.  He didn't really care too much for it and he didn't sleep longer.

Evan's birthday

I love Evan's birthday.  I love it more than my own birthday.  He just gets so excited and really appreciates the little things I do for him.  I took the kiddos to the doctor's for their well child visits then we took Evan lunch.  I ordered his lunch on line thinking I could leave the kids in the car and just run in and get it, I even pre paid for it.  Oh but no.  There was a huge line.  I had to carry all three kids in the restaurant because Autumn was refusing to walk.  Then I had to maneuver through the crowded restaurant while all 3 kids were crying.  Then we waited for forever for the food.  Then I carried all three kids back to the car and drove across town to drop off his lunch.  Luckily Evan came out and got it so I didn't have to unload 3 kids again.  And he was very appreciative.
Autumn helped me make brownies and got put in time-out twice for poking her fingers in the brownies and trying to snitch them early.  I didn't have all the ingredients for dinner that Evan requested so we had sweet and sour meat balls.
Then we finally let Autumn have a brownie.
As a kid Evan always requested that his birthday presents go under the Christmas tree so I've carried on the tradition, but this year we spiced up the tree a bit to make it a "birthday tree".
I put notes in the balloons so he got to pop them and have a little surprise.
Cuddles with my new electric blanket...It was really cold that day.
I didn't get Evan any gifts this year because he bought himself a reciever.  He found a steal of a deal on it so a week or so before Christmas he drove to Denver to pick it up.  I told him the only stipulation with his present was he couldn't use it until his birthday.  And true to Evan and our little "deals"  he tried to weasle out of it and asked more than once if he could "just test it out".  But I was firm and he enjoyed it that much more on his birthday.  The kiddos however did buy him some clothes.
Autumn had to put on her sweat shirt and sweat pants to match daddy.
Oh did I mention Evan totaled his car on the way to pick up his birthday present?  Luckily he is fine, and the tow truck driver brought him home so I didn't have to drive all the way down there to pick him up...Now we are back to sharing a car and searching for another one.

Winter Break

We had lots of Evan's family in town for Christmas break and enjoyed lots of great food, sledding, board games, jump house, Autumn attended her first movie in the theater (Big Hero 6) with her cousins, and we all took turns playing "clippy girls" with Autumn.
Patrick with is great posture and Violet
Twinner twinners

The best we could do at high noon...at least I look good ;)
The sun was so bright I told my nephew to keep his eyes closed and open them when I got to "three" but he kept making this face at three...I have at least a dozen pictures with that painful smile!
Cousins Cousins
Klinton and Maverick
Charlie and Maverick
Charlie and Autumn
I think these two got the most rides down the hill since everyone wanted to take a turn with them...they loved it.

painting the snow

Autumn's first day of primary.  She was so excited and didn't get nervous at all when I dropped her off.

4 months!!!
Both kiddos smile and laugh.  Maverick still hates the bath while Violet likes a good soak.  They both sit up assisted and pick their heads up while on their bellies.  Maverick rolls over front to back.  Violet likes to pick her feet up in the air and scoots on her back-abs of steal.  Both are sleeping better at night.  They only wake up once to eat, sometimes Violet will sleep all night (except for waking up 3 or 4 times because she lost her pacifier).  Both still have blue eyes.  They now grab at toys and Autumn's hair.

Maverick: Height: 24.5 in (32%) weight 12 lbs 12.5 oz (11 %)
Violet: Height 23 in (9%) weight: 11 lbs 6.5 oz (8%)
