Magic Kingdom

Day 2 of Disney World: Magic Kingdom

Monorail ride to the park

Waiting for the park to open. "Mermaid Hair Don't Care"

Taking a break at Gaston's Tavern and eating a HUGE cinnamon roll
Violet was afraid of most of the rides.  Autumn took it upon herself to hold Violet's hand and explain the rides and pump her up before the rides.
The Ariel ride in our matchy-matchy mermaid outfits
DUMBO
Waiting for our reservations at Cinderella's table

Maverick fell asleep while we waited for the table.
The kids, including Maverick, loved all the princesses.

Violet LOVED giving all the princesses hugs.

Rapunzel's tower
I got totally jealous when Autumn got to "drive" the Jungle Cruise cruise ship.
Leaving the park after dinner and ready for bed.
We had a queen and a king fold out bed in our room.  We put the three big kids in the king bed sideways and Lark slept in one of the two bathrooms in the room.

-Maverick loved all the rides.  He said, "one more time" at the end of each ride.  He especially like Peter Pan's Flight and It's a Small World
-Violet was still afraid of the rides, but she did better if the ride was outside, like the Magic Carpet ride
-Autumn pretty much just wanted cotton candy and her face painted
-Lark was chill and did well on all the rides and hanging out in the stroller

Florida part 1

After leaving Heather's in North Carolina we headed to Florida to spend time with Evan's younger brother Patrick.  We stayed at a place in St. Augustine, Florida the first night and gave everyone lice treatments.  Apparently we all got it from Heather's neighbor.  (Best place to take care of lice...a hotel...then you don't have to do all the laundry ;)

We met Patrick and Elizabeth and went to a fort.

testing out the cannon?

Then we walked around downtown.  We joked that it kinda felt like main street at Disneyland.
Then we went across the state to Gainesville where Patrick lives. He gave us a great tour of the University of Florida.  Since it was close to graduation we were even allowed to walk around on the football field.

"Congratulations Gator Graduates"

Then we went to a cool museum on campus.
The next day we went to a pool near Patrick's house.  And since it was still early in the season we pretty much had the pool to ourselves.

We made good use of all the beach toys the twins got for Easter.

Autumn loved all of Elizabeth's magnets.  She uses all the magnets when she does presentations at elementary schools.
AWESOME splash pad (FENCED) park near Patrick's place.

I think they are playing with someone elses' PJ Mask characters.
After hanging out in Gainesville we headed back to the East side of Florida to Daytona Beach/Port Orange where Evan grew up.  We took the kids to the beach and they loved it.  The water was warm and mild.

After the beach we randomly went around to Evan's friend's house unannounced.  Evan loved it.
