Post Thanksgiving/pre Christmas/Twins 3 months

Basically this is just a bunch of pictures of things we've done lately.
I hosted a baby shower for a friend in my ward.  It is easier to have people over to my house then to try and leave the house, so I have to have my friends come to me.  It was a simple shower, but thanks to Pinterest I think it turned out really cute.  (These pictures are for my mom)

"Baby its cold outside"
Hot chocolate bar and baby bottle snowflakes
Autumn helped a lot with the snowman diaper cake.  She rolled them up and taped a bunch of them for me.
Violet and Maverick looking on as the rest of us were trying to get in the Christmas spirit with one of my favorite traditions...painting ceramic figurines.

Autumn loves painting hand prints.
Typicla scence at our house.  Autumn playing by herself after I've had to leave to take care of the babies, while she makes a small mess.  She isn't destructive or inherently messy, just 2 years old.  Also there is a basket of laundry waiting to be folded and milk on the desk waiting to be put in bottles and of course Autumn's shoes on the floor. (Evan is taking the picture and he was doing the dinner dishes)
Final products (mine, Evan's, Autumn's)  Evan didn't get to finish because the babies needed attention.
Dad and Maverick in his baby straight jacket.'
3 months!

Violet is a calm baby and is generally a really good sleeper.  She loves her pacifier and being wrapped very tight when she sleeps.  She likes to be rocked cradle style and typically fall asleep very easily.  She loves baths and hates to be burped and hates a dirty diaper.
Maverick hates baths and loves to eat.  He cries when you remove the bottle as if he'll starve to death as a result often overeats.  He does not likes baths.  He likes to be held upright to fall asleep and loves pats on his back.  He giggles and laughs regularly. Maverick is getting big and fits into 6 months things!
Autumn SO excited about her new Christmas ornament...I picked one that represented her this year...ARIEL
Decorating the tree on Daddy's day off.  I conceded to buying a fake tree this year.  I have to admit it is much easier than getting a real one, but I miss the smell.  I'm glad I won't have to sweep needles or water the thing.
The babes "first ornaments".
Autumn was more interested in unwrapping the ornaments than hanging them up.  She was SO excited to look at all the different ornaments.  I love decorating the tree and being reminded of different people/places that are represented by the ornaments.
Final touch...the star
Autumn insisted that Snow White hang on the tree by Ariel.
Cute, am I right?

Autumn wanted to hid.  Look at Mav's little smile.
First year Evan helped with the Christmas cards.
My cousin gave me this fancy bottle...easier to feed two babies at once when one can feed them self!
Making a gingerbread house (aka haunted cookie house...after Halloween clearance)
Autumn had as much fun eating the candy as she did decorating
Mav and Violet in matchy matchy outfits...Look how much taller Maverick is than Violet (notice you can't see Violet's feet)

Thanksgiving

I really wanted to go home for Thanksgiving...So we did.  Evan only had a couple days off, so I thought it would be more advantageous to go out earlier and spend more time with my family.  The only problem was I have 3 kids.  So my mom flew out and spend 1.5 days in Cheyenne then my mom, my three kids and I all flew back together.  It was a hassle.  The Denver airport is ridiculous and we had so much stuff tromping through the airport.  They even gave me a pat down because the breast milk I had in a bottle set off some sort of alarm.  Not sure how a pat down is going to prevent the potential bomb I had hidden in the bottle, but whatever.

Autumn played with this fake sand all week.
The reason I bought my wedding dress instead of renting....so my future daughters could play dress up!

My brother and his family visited too.  Autumn had a good time bossing Korey around.  We took them to a hands on museum that the girls loved.

Uncle Dustin did a great job of watching both kids most of the week, since Autumn and Dustin both followed Korey around the whole time.
Twinner skirts my mom made them for Thanksgiving.
Dustin bought rabbit ears so the boys could watch football on one for the TVs at the church.
My dad is getting the twin thing down.  He is rocking both of them with his feet.
Autumn and her new pal Luke (her second cousin) at the kid table.  Notice Autumn's feast; Jello, roll, black olives, and pretzels.

My aunt and Violet
My mom planned a few crafts for the kids after dinner.
Some of the gang.  My mom's brother and his wife along with two of their kids and their families joined us...hence the reason we ate at the church.
Violet had a mating skirt too.
Maverick and his fancy pants.
Autumn didn't want to join the family picture...First Thanksgiving for the twins.
We also went to a jump house place.  Both girls were quite adventurous.
The trip home was much easier since I decided to check all the car seats and stroller.  We hired a guy to cart all our 5 bags, 3 car seats, and stroller, from the baggage claim across the street to the shuttle (that took us to our car in the long term parking).  Also the flight was really early in the morning so Autumn sleep for a portion of the flight.
