2X2

Sunday after we blessed Lark in church we had a family birthday party for Maverick and Violet.  The theme  was 2X2 as in 2 kids turning 2...So it was a Noah's ark theme.  Clever right?
Here is my dad and his dad putting together the twinner's balance bikes
Violet promptly sat on grandma Dorothy's lap during the blessing on the food.  It was too cute I couldn't help but snap a photo.
Violet fell in love with Jake at our family reunion.
So of Evan's family was still in town yay!
More family and you can kinda see the rainbow decorations.
My mom did a great job of feeding the masses.  Chicken cordon bleu casserole and RAINBOW jello.

This is the best picture we got of the birthday kiddos...
This was probably my favorite part of the party...This awesome animal cups I found on Amazon.

The twinners love their balance bikes...although they are too short to ride them so they just push them and walk beside them with their helmet on their heads.

We decorated Noah's Ark...
And drew pictures of Aunt Deb...The other birthday girl...with rainbow crayons

My uncle Dan made the cake...The animals are walking up to the ark ;)

Mav and Violet blowing out the candles
My second favorite thing about the party...the animal plates (which most people complained about, since they were small...but I thought their cuteness made up for their size).

There was only a little bit of cake left over so my mom let the guest of honor have at it...and it didn't even make that big of a mess.

After the party the kids opened up their gift from g&g Robins and from Lark (Autumn picked out the helmets for them).

Lark's blessing

I strategically planned Lark's blessing the day after Wade's memorial so that we could have lots of family at the blessing.  We blessed Lark in my aunt Sandi and Uncle Dan's ward.
Evan gave the blessing with my brother Noah, brother-in-laws Preston and Justin, my dad, my grandpa, my uncles, Reed and Dan, my cousins, Cameron, Jake, and Cody.

This Picture cracks me up.  My cousin Cody was totally over taking pictures....(his aunt was taking all the pictures so he was giving her attitude)
Norbys
My Parents
My Grandparents
The Robins (without Violet and Autumn...cuz they were totally over the picture taking)

My mom made her cute dress and headband (all the girls have had similar trim on their dresses, just different colors.)
Aunt Meagan

Autumn did her own hair for church.  She insists on acting way older than 4.
It is still really weird for me to see pictures of our family of SIX...No wonder people are always telling me I have my hands full!

Wade's Memorial

Since my sister-in-law's ex-husband planned my nephew's funeral, we wanted to have a service to honor him in the way we remembered him.  It was held at Evan' grandma's house where lots of family events have taken place, a few grand kids' weddings, grandpa's 80th birthday party, etc. It was a casual event with lots of family and nice weather.

Getting things set up...
the famous "bridge" (and autumn carrying around her phone book, aka "homework".  Who would have thought that phone book would bring so much entertainment.)
David was the MC...You can kinda see the neat picture frames Cameron made out of Lego.  A cousin, Josh, also made some "W" centerpieces which were really neat.  But they arrived late because there was a fire which delayed several family members for a few hours.
We used the same table squares that were used at my wedding and also used at Wade's baptism.
The butterfly is the symbol of AVM (which is what my nephew had) so my mother-in-law arranged a butterfly release.  It was pretty neat!
I love this picture.  It actually breaks my heart a bit.  I think of my four year old self and how hard it would be to lose a sibling.

After a very long day we headed back to my grandparent's house and Lark got to meet uncle Noah.
