Olive's Blessing

May 27, 2018 we blessed Lark at church at just 5 days old.  We were fortunate enough to have both my parents and Evan's parents and his brother Cameron in town.

SOOOO the night before the blessing I told my mom I didn't care what everyone wore the goal was to just get to church.  I typically have some sort of fight with Autumn every Sunday morning and most of the time it just isn't worth it. Well we made it to church and everyone looked like this.  Autumn thought it would be a neat idea to have everyone wear white, just like Olive.  Autumn convinced Violet to wear white, but Autumn didn't have a white dress so she opted for Violet's dress and Lark's sweater.  I did however tell her the 3T dress was too short so she put another skirt underneath.

The Robins.  Maverick got that toy from "Olive" when she came home from the hospital and he was in heaven.  Also Maverick's suit is too small for him, but he loves it so he wears it anyway.

Our friend Joseph Neary and lyndzee and Dustin Durham. Joseph and Dustin were in the blessing circle along with Grandpa Brian, Evan, a member of the bishopric and a member of the stake presidency who happened to be there as well.

Dustin was actual my doctor for Olive so it was really neat that he could come to her blessing as well.

My mom pulled me out of sacrament meeting to take this picture before I took her home.  She wanted a picture with Olive in her dress since my mom made the dress.

June 14: Family picture day!  There were fires in the area and the smoke was think along with strong winds.  We cancelled and rescheduled the photo shoot two or three times THAT DAY.  Luckily oh so luckily the wind died down and we got great pictures.  Also Autumn was a champ and helped avoid a a huge fiasco and switched outfits with Violet.  While my sister in law Sara was in town she exchanged the stripped romper for me since the 4T was a bit big on Violet, SO Autumn ended up wearing a 3T romper with diaper snaps and all for the pictures.

Pre-photo shoot when we thought were were going to have to cancel and the kids were very disappointed so we snapped some pictures in the yard.

Autumn's half birthday

Autumn had a half birthday party with her friends this year...the day before her half birthday talk about really confusing.  In the morning we went to Cheyenne's "Super day"

After all the fun at Super day we had Autumn's party.  She wanted a "Greatest Showman" party.  Which I thought was a cleaver (and easy) theme.  I see most girls her age doing a unicorn theme, so I'm glad we chose something different.

We played a circus game of ring toss and also did a relay race with "Three ring circus" and "tight rope" aka hoola hoops and pool noodle.

The kids all decorated their own cupcakes...Adalyn showed up mid way through the party.

I think the girls would have been content to just stare at Olive and not play any games.

Instead of making a cake the girls just decorated their own cupcakes (Autumn has a tatoo on her forehead because we pretended to be the tatooed man)

Then Sunday was Autumn's "real" half-birthday.  I made her scrub the face tatoos off for church.
