80th Birthday Bash

Evan's maternal grandfather celebrated his 80th birthday with a big party with the whole family. Luckily Evan was done with his board exams and had a couple days before his rotations started.Evan and his siblings playing "Vegas Showdown" at the games table at the Heber house.
Evan's grandpa is an excellent painter and craftsmen. He built this bench and painted a landscape on the back of the seat.
Evan and the guest of honor, Grandpa Mike.
Sara and Meagan
Most of the cousins...only missing a couple
Not the best spot for pictures, so Evan's dad was trying to creature some shade and get ride of some shadows. It was a good effort.
The Norbys
The Heber house is so pretty and has a great yard. We love visiting there.
Evan's aunt organized some "One Minute to Win It games"
This one try to get the Oreo in your mouth without using your hands
Very determined little boy
it's one of those things that it is even more fun to watch than play
You're never too old for a birthday cake...Same recipe his mom use to make
Who doesn't love sparklers
One the drive home from Utah we saw a big smoke cloud...I wasn't convinced it was just a big cloud...until we got closer

And closer
And so close we thought they would close the roadUntil we drove through the smoke and It felt like how I imagine the end of the world to be...
