Frontier Days

July 14: We invited a few friends over to watch the cattle drive (the kick off activity for Frontier Days)
I bought donuts and juice boxes for the occasion.

Olive makes this squishy up face all the time. The other kids think its hilarious.
Later in the afternoon we went on a walk around the neighborhood and jumped in puddles.  We had lots and lots of rain the first half of summer and our grass stayed green without sprinklers for a long time.

July 14: waiting out the storm by eating popsicles in the garage.

July 19: FE Warren days. We had fun hanging out with the historical reenactors, the trucks, helicopter and other vehicles.

Horse ride...
Instruments and quill writing

Face cut outs!!!

July 20: Parade Day.  We watched with our friends the Davidsons.  My cousin Jessica and her family was in the middle of an epic road trip that lead them through Cheyenne.  We met them at the parade and went to Indian Village with them.

Violet borrowing my cousin's glasses.

That night Evan and I went to a free Sir-Mix-a-lot concert.  It was really funny watching a bunch of cowboys dance to old school hip hop.
July 22: Pancake breakfast.  It was cold and rainy.  The kids were cranky and I questioned why I even brought them to this "fun" activity.

July 24: Cheyenne Day and Thunderbirds.  They changed the location of the Thunderbirds to the air force base so we decided to watch from David and Linda's house.

Swimming with Dad (since most people have Cheyenne Day off).

July 26: Indian Village and Frontier Village
