Part One of the Utah Adventure

My baby sister up and decided to serve a mission a couple months ago (before the age limit changed) and she leaves in January.  Since I'm not going home for Christmas I knew I needed to find a time to "say goodbye" to her.  My dad had business in Utah and my mom was tagging along so I bought airplane tickets.  Yes I realize that she isn't leaving for a few months you Utah people who always get to see their families!

Autumn and Aunt Hannah.  Autumn took awhile to warm up....basically after my parents left.

four generations

Hanging out on BYU's campus with Uncle Noah eating a muffin

Desecrating Hannah's bedroom.  She made that quilt pretty talented huh?

Autumn's new obsession eating ice.

Right after Autumn broke a bowl while she was eating dinner.

Nine months until Nursery

So I accidently gave Autumn some dark chocolate.  She loved it.  By accidently I mean I gave her a wrapped piece of Dove chocolate to hold on to, when Evan realized her warm mouth had melted the chocolate.  She was slightly annoyed when I took it away from her.

My little Peanut turned 9 months.  She is getting much taller and more active.  Autumn loves all foods and loves to put anything and everything in her mouth.  She learned how to sit up from lying down (8/26).  She also learned to open the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen (8/31).  She thinks she is rather clever.  She played "peek-a-boo" by herself (9/7).  Since she learned to clap her hands she does it all the time (9/14).  She crawls across the carpet, sits up and looks at me then claps.  She likes to swing at the park and even crawl around the play structure.  Her new favorite song is "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire and "The Fox" by  Nicklecreek.  She is also in awe for the above door hindges.  She has grown to love animals especially dogs.

Oh yeah.  She is obsessed with the TV remotes, Evan's Ipod, and my cell phone.

Mom Do

I've been thinking about cutting my hair for almost a year now.  I finally did it.  I'm still getting use to it.  After seeing my "before" picture and how stringy and yucky it looks, I'm glad I cut it.

18 inches gone!

Aww Poor Baby

Autum likes to stand up in her crib.  I've know this for awhile, but wevdidn't get around to lowering it until today.   NO she didn't fall out of the crib, but she managed to give herself a pretty nice shiner this morning on the railing.
I guess my flash is too bright, but she has a really nice blue bruise under her left eye.

Now that the crib is NOT at her waist it looks like I need to get one of those  guards so we don't end up with a bunch of teeth marks in the railing.

Ford Museum

A family in our ward has season passes to the Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, so they took us with them.  This weekend Greenfield Village was hosting an old car show.  There is lots to do, turn of the century craft making (glass blowing, tin shop, ect.), historical buildings (like a court house wear Abraham Lincoln practiced law), old car rides, 99 year old carousel, and much more (but not enough overly priced food-I had to ask someone wear I could get something to eat.)  We only planned to stay a few hours, but on the way out to the car Autumn fell asleep in Evan's arms.  Since she fell asleep we decided to hang out a little longer.  The pictures are out of order, but here is what we saw.

Autumn and Evan rode the Carousal.  Autumn enjoyed it.
Riding in a pink Flintstone like car.
Phonograph demonstration.  Henry Ford loves history so there are lots of  historic buildings that have been moved to Michigan for our viewing pleasure, including this building where Thomas Edison worked.
more Thomas Edison stuff

This horse went up and down.
Train
I love this picture of her.  Evan is always telling me he thinks her hair has red in it.  I just don't see it, but there is no mistake in this picture it looks reddish.
Train depot

We are at the Museum in this picture.  Evan took this picture.  We are in an airplane.
Peace.
Coolest thing we did.  We rode in an authentic (not replica) 1914 Model T Ford.
I love Evan because he is such a good dad (not for his photography skills).  Look at his face!  He is always so excited to show and teach Autumn new things.  Here she is on a weird old bicycle.

I think someone just cut her off.
YAY!!! The Oscar Mayer Wiener mobile.
Evan liked this airplane...I'm sure you can see why.
