June

Adjusting to five kids has been very difficult.  I threw myself several pity-parties.  I just wanted to snuggle my new born and watch Netflix.  My older kids would have none of that.  Autumn had a difficult time adjusting to summer vacation (not sure if she ever fully adjusted).  She wants to go go go and do do do and with trying to work around a baby who doesn't have a schedule was challenging for me.
6/7

6/7We made bananas muffins one day.

6/7 Since Autumn was out of school we tried letting the kids have "sleep overs" in Maverick and Violet's room, most nights it didn't work and they ended up in their own beds.  This night however Maverick somehow ended up in Autumn's bed and apparently snuck food into her bed.
Evan took a day off of work and went on Autumn's field trip to the bowling ally with her and her class (June 1)
Grandma and Grandpa Norby took the four big kids to Curt Gowdy for an afternoon.

The "Bear Cave"

6/12: This is what life looks like around here.  We moved most of the toys up stairs since they stopped using the toy room and it was getting too big of a pain to carry the toys up and down the stairs every day. So if it didn't look like we had a million kids before, it does now.
6/12: I splurged and bought passes to the pool this summer, which included swimming lessons.  I had to bribe Maverick and Lark to do lessons.  It was rather cold the first couple of weeks.  The kids really liked playing in the pool but it was stressful for mom trying to feed a newborn still learning how to eat and make sure no one drowned.
June 12: Olive chillin at the pool
June 13 Our final time with the waterslide.  This was one of the best purchases I have made.  But after three full summers of use with lots of play dates and friends it started to lose air, so we pitched it.

June 16: I was so busy every once in a while I would make myself stop and take a picture of Olive so I could look back and remember what she was like as a newborn.

Father's dad June 17th: I've never been great at celebrating Father's dad.  We did get dad a real cool gift though..."Bug-a-salt"  it is a gun that shoot salt at bugs and kills them.

June 17-I went down stairs to watch TV after all the kids were "in bed" and found Maverick sound asleep on the stairs (in his matching Batman sock he got dad for Father's dad)
June 20: Autumn warming up after some very cold swim lessons.
June 20: We visit our local library so often it isn't very "special" but I wanted to document this everyday life moment
June 21: Autumn does a great job with Olive.  Lark is still learning to be gentle.  Lark loves to say, "Olive cute.  Olive tiny" and she likes to look at her toes and remark at how tiny they are as well.

6/21 Lark tolerating swim lessons.  She didn't want to be there so the next session she played in the grass and any mud she could find.
OLIVE ONE MONTH June 22
She cries a lot and generally seems to be uncomfortable.  She spits up a ton like Violet and Autumn did.  Everyone seems to comment on how "tiny" she is.  Her eyes still don't know what color they want to be, but she has a tuff of dark hair in the back.

6/22 We went to a different park each Friday over the summer.  This week we brought our chalk and Maverick wrote his name!
6/24: Olive finally made it to church.  She would have gone the previous week but mom got mastitis and decided she needed to stay home and rest.  (Olive did go the week after she was born for her blessing for 30 minutes or so)
Lark is still adjusting to not being the baby anymore.
June 25: Violet found a rock??
June 26 hanging out at the pool.  She got some really bad baby acne for a few weeks too
June 26, Autumn working on her loom she got for her 1/2 birthday
June 27: Lark really wanted to go off the diving board until she reallized she had to jump off of it!
It is a good thing Evan can tread water for a long time!
Swimming almost every day Autumn gained lots of confidence.
